Assassin's Creed Timeline

The "Assassin's Creed" franchise is, without a doubt, one of the biggest ones in gaming, with over fifteen different titles under its belt - at least one per year every single year since 2007. But unlike other long-running where every game stands more or less on its own, "Assassin's Creed" tells one loosely connected story set throughout numerous historical eras, from the Crusades all the way up to the Victorian era. As such, to commemorate the series' 10th anniversary, we decided to create an infographic which outlines the entire history of the "Assassin's Creed" universe, from the death of the First Civilization over 75,000 years ago all the way down to present day, when the movie takes place.

Much like with most of the things we create, the infographic's primary source of inspiration was our team leader Stephen Charlesworth, who first came up with the idea. From there, we sought the services of writer and known nerd Chris Henrikson (the man behind TheUncannyNerd.com) and the always amazing Naze Art to breathe some much-needed life into it. While some parts of the universe didn't quite make the cut, the events depicted in them aren't very important in the grand scheme of things and it was decided that they would only bloat the infographic even further. Regardless, what we've outlined should give you a really good idea of what the series is all about - more than enough to either catch you up or refresh your memory before you dive into this year's installment!
